Terms & Conditions

When you shop with us at AJKDesign, you accept these general terms and conditions of purchase (the “Terms of Purchase”).
Please read them before completing your purchase. Here we describe what applies when purchasing at www.ajkdesign.eu, both for you as a private individual and for companies.

Some terms and conditions differ depending on whether you are a private individual or a business customer.

1. General information1. Allmän information

The website is operated by AJK AB (“AJKDesign”). When we use “we”, “us” or “our” in these terms and conditions, we mean AJK AB. The terms and conditions apply to all purchases on www.ajkdesign.eu.

You must be 18 years of age or older to place an order. By making a purchase, you accept these terms and conditions and confirm that the information you have provided is accurate.
If you have any questions or need help with your order, please contact us at [email protected]

1.1 Company information

AJK AB
Tumbo Fridhem
635 31 Kvicksund
Sweden
Organization number: 559237-9928

2. Purchase agreement

A binding purchase agreement is concluded between you as a customer (private individual or company) and AJK AB when you have received an order confirmation from us via email after you have placed your order.

3. Prices

All prices on ajkdesign.eu are stated in Swedish kronor (SEK) and include VAT at 25% for private customers. Shipping costs are added depending on which delivery option you choose when purchasing. Shipping costs are calculated at checkout, for purchases over 299 SEK, free shipping applies. Any government fees, such as customs duties for deliveries outside Sweden, are always paid by you as the customer. For business customers who have received a quote from us, the quote is valid for 30 days, unless otherwise specified.

4. Reservations

We reserve the right to make any errors in price or product information as well as in other communications.

We have the right to change prices and information about products in the range at any time and to correct incorrect prices subsequently without prior notice.

We also reserve the right for price changes, final sales, stock differences, technical errors, changed product specifications and typographical errors on the website or in advertisements.

We reserve the right to cancel orders that contain errors. Promotions and offers are subject to availability, unless otherwise stated.

Images on our website represent colors and appearance as accurately as possible, but we cannot guarantee exact match due to differences in screens and settings.

Colour and texture may therefore differ slightly in reality. Our furniture is often made from natural materials such as solid wood, where variations in grain, tone and texture are natural and part of the character of the material. Such variations are not considered faults.

5. Payment
5.1 Private customers

We offer secure and flexible payment solutions. At checkout, you can easily choose the payment method that suits you best – for example, card payment, advance invoice, invoice or partial payment via Klarna (available options may vary over time). You can see and choose the payment method at checkout before confirming the purchase.

With invoice or installment payment, you will receive the goods before you pay. You can then pay all at once or divide the payment. The due date is clearly stated on the invoice or invoice.

A credit check is always carried out, which in some cases means a credit report. In the event of late payment, a reminder fee and late payment interest will be charged.

Full terms and conditions for Klarna can be found on their respective websites.

Since we only sell via ajkdesign.eu, all payments are made directly at the checkout on our website when the order is placed. All payments are handled via our payment solutions at checkout and confirmed before the purchase is completed. An order only becomes binding when the payment has been approved and you have received an order confirmation.

5.2 Business

The same payment option via the checkout also applies to companies. In the case of invoice or partial payment, the goods are delivered before payment. The due date is stated on the invoice sent to the company.

In the event of late payment, a reminder fee and late payment interest will be charged.

6. Special orders

All special orders (items that are not in stock and are manufactured or ordered specifically for you) require advance payment. We will send you an advance invoice for the full order amount. The order will be activated and production will only begin once the payment has been registered.

You will always receive an order confirmation via email when payment is received and the order is activated.

7. Order confirmation

Once you have placed your order, we will send an order confirmation to the email address you provided. The confirmation shows that we have received your order and serves as your receipt.

We recommend that you save the order confirmation, as you may need it when contacting us or in the event of a complaint.

We reserve the right to adjust or cancel an order even after the order confirmation has been sent, for example in the event of incorrect prices, final sales, stock differences, technical errors or other circumstances beyond our control. Such changes may in some cases entail additional costs or affect delivery. In these cases, we will always contact you for information and approval before the change is implemented.

8. Delivery times

Delivery times may vary depending on the season and the load on our production. During periods of high pressure, as well as summer and Christmas holidays, times may be longer than normal as we have limited production at that time.

We can never guarantee exact delivery times, as they are affected by factors beyond our control.

Stocked items usually have a shorter delivery time, while special orders (items that are manufactured or purchased especially for you) take longer. The estimated time until the product is shipped from us (in days) is stated on the product page. This is always an estimate and is subject to change. Production will only start once we have received your order, and we will keep you informed of any changes.

We always strive to deliver your entire order together to keep shipping costs down. Unless otherwise agreed, the “longest delivery time principle” applies – the entire order is shipped when the item with the longest delivery time is ready. If you wish to have a partial delivery, this is possible at your request, but this will incur an additional shipping cost that will be charged separately.

We reserve the right to make reservations for production or shipping delays that are beyond our control. However, we always do our utmost to ensure that you receive your goods as close to the estimated time as possible.

Shipping company delivery time Once the order has been shipped from us, the shipping company’s delivery time is added, which is normally 1–3 non-holiday weekdays depending on where in the country you live. We therefore do not state a total delivery time on the website or in the order confirmation – the estimated time to dispatch is only stated on the respective product page.

9. Reservation of ownership

The goods remain the property of AJK AB until full payment has been made.

In the event of any repossession due to non-payment, AJK AB will determine which parts of the delivery are still unpaid.

The buyer undertakes to keep the goods insured for the benefit of AJK AB until ownership has been transferred.

10. Right of Withdrawal and Returns (Private Individuals)

The right of withdrawal does not apply to corporate customers.

According to the Distance Contracts Act, you as a private customer have a 14-day right of withdrawal. The right begins on the day you receive the goods and you then have a further 14 days to return the goods after you have notified us that you regret the purchase.

The right of withdrawal only applies to goods in stock. Special orders (goods that are made or ordered especially for you) are not covered by the right of withdrawal.

For the right of withdrawal to apply, the product must be returned unused, in undamaged condition and in its original packaging. Open the package carefully so that the packaging is not damaged. The product must not have been assembled or used beyond normal inspection.

Always contact us first via email ([email protected]) before returning an item.

You are responsible for the return shipping and for ensuring that the item is not damaged during transport. We recommend trackable shipping. The return cost (shipping and any handling) is paid by you and deducted from the refund if we need to arrange the return.

Refunds will be made within 14 days after we have received and approved the return, via the same payment method used for the purchase.

If you have any questions about cancellation or returns, please contact us at [email protected].

10.1 Refund

If the return is approved, we will refund what you paid for the item, minus the return fee and any depreciation deduction.

Return fee:
69 SEK for smaller packages (max. 10kg and/or max. 150cm long)

SEK 349 for larger/bulky packages (at least 10kg)

The fee will be automatically deducted from the refund.

You are responsible for the return shipping cost and the risk during transport (use traceable shipping).

Refunds will be made within 14 days of receiving and approving the item. We will use the same payment method as the original purchase.

In the event of a decrease in value (e.g. traces of use or damage beyond normal inspection), we will make additional deductions.

Are you paying by invoice/partial payment via Klarna? Pay on time to avoid reminder fees – the amount will be adjusted upon return.

11. Shipping and Delivery

We offer free shipping within Sweden on all orders over SEK 299. For orders under SEK 299, a shipping cost will be added, which will be clearly displayed at checkout before you complete the purchase.

We always choose the shipping option that best suits your order – usually DHL, PostNord or UPS depending on the size, weight and destination of the package. You cannot choose a shipping carrier directly at checkout, but if you have a specific request for a shipping company, please contact us before placing your order. We will inform you of any additional costs.

Smaller packages are often delivered to the nearest agent or directly to your door. Larger furniture and heavier items are normally delivered to the property line or curbside on weekdays. You are responsible for receiving the goods at the time of delivery.

Delivery time varies depending on whether the item is in stock or is a special order, but we always strive to ship your order as quickly as possible.

11.1 Delivery for private customers

The same shipping rules apply as above. If you have any questions about your delivery or requests for specific delivery times, please contact us at [email protected] and we will be happy to help you.

11.2 Delivery for business customers

The same shipping rules apply as for private customers. For larger orders, projects or recurring deliveries, we can offer customized shipping solutions and volume prices. Please contact us for a quote.

11.3 Delivery to other countries

For delivery outside Sweden, use the local website that applies to your country.

To change country, click on the country selector at the top right of the website and select the desired country. There you will find current prices, shipping options, delivery times and terms – including any shipping costs and customs fees – that apply specifically to that market.

11.4 Change of delivery addresseransadress

If you need to change the delivery address after you have placed your order, please contact us as soon as possible via [email protected].

Once the order has left our warehouse, we unfortunately can no longer change the address, as the package is already with the shipping company.

Some shipping companies (e.g. PostNord or DHL) offer the option to redirect the package for a fee – contact us and we will help you investigate whether this is possible in your case.

11.5 Receiving delivery and unclaimed packages

As a customer, you are responsible for ensuring that someone is on site to receive and sign for the delivery at the agreed time.

If no one can receive the package (e.g. wrong address, no one answers the phone number provided or the delivery is refused without valid reason), we will charge the costs incurred.

When passing through barriers – which mainly applies to larger pallet shipments – a fee of at least SEK 690 is added, depending on the size of the order.

When delivered to a representative, the package will normally remain for 7 days. If you do not pick it up, it will be sent back to us, and we will charge a handling fee of SEK 300 which will be deducted from any refund.

If the item is not eligible for a right of withdrawal or return, we will contact you to book a new delivery attempt for an additional shipping cost.

11.6 Transport damage

Always check the package carefully upon receipt – both the outer packaging and the condition of the item – before signing for delivery.

If the packaging is damaged or if you suspect damage:

  • Note the damage directly on the driver’s waybill and ask for a copy.
  • Photograph the damage and the packaging.

Responsibility for the goods passes to you when delivery is acknowledged.

All transport damage – both visible and hidden (which is only discovered when unpacking) – must be reported to us within 24 hours of receipt in order for us to be able to file a complaint with the shipping company.

Report the damage via email to [email protected]. Attach:

  • Pictures of the outer and inner packaging and the damage to the product
  • Copy of the shipping bill with note (if possible)
  • Your order number

We will confirm receipt of your report and guide you further on the next steps, which vary from case to case.

12. Complaint
12.1 Private customers

According to the Consumer Sales Act, you have the right to complain about original defects in the product for up to 3 years from the date you received it. The right to complain applies to manufacturing defects – not damage that has occurred through normal wear and tear, incorrect handling or failure to follow care instructions.

Visible defects should be reported as soon as you discover them, preferably within two months – this is always considered a reasonable time.

Contact us via email at [email protected] and attach:

  • Order number
  • Pictures of the error
  • Brief description of the problem

We will investigate the matter and return with a proposed solution (repair, replacement or other action).

12.2 Business customers

According to the Swedish Sales Act, you have the right to complain about defects for up to 2 years from receipt of the goods. Defects for which we are responsible must be reported in writing as soon as they are discovered, no later than within 6 days.

We will remedy the defect by repair or replacement at our option. We will not provide any compensation or compensation for indirect costs. The product may not be returned without our prior approval.

Contact us at [email protected] with the order number, pictures of the error and a short description.

13. Natural material

The majority of our products are made from solid wood – a living and genuine natural material. This means that each product is unique, with natural variations in grain, color shade, structure and small details such as knots or marks.

These variations are not wrong, but what gives the product its genuine and timeless character. We consciously choose to keep them to make the product feel alive and personal.

Therefore, natural differences in the wood do not constitute grounds for complaint.

In order for the product to age beautifully and maintain its quality through generations, it is important that you follow any care instructions that are available on the respective product page or on the Material Guide & Care page. Damage that occurs due to the advice not being followed is not covered by the right of complaint.

14. Force majeure

We always do our utmost to ensure that your order is delivered as planned.

However, AJK AB does not take responsibility for delays or non-deliveries caused by circumstances beyond our control – so-called force majeure events – that we could not reasonably have foreseen or avoided without unreasonable costs.

This includes, among other things, natural disasters, strikes, wars, riots, government decisions, fire, explosion, blockade or other similar events that affect us, our suppliers or carriers.

15. Disputes
15.1 Private customers

We always strive to resolve any disputes in a smooth and customer-friendly manner. Should we not be able to reach an agreement, we recommend that you contact the Swedish National Complaints Board (ARN) at www.arn.se or by post at Box 174, 101 23 Stockholm.

You can also use the EU’s online dispute resolution platform at ec.europa.eu.

More information about your rights as a consumer can be found at www.konsumentverket.se.

15.2 Business customers

Disputes arising from these terms and conditions shall be settled in accordance with Swedish law. We recommend that we first attempt to resolve the dispute through dialogue. If this is unsuccessful, the Swedish courts, with Kungsör District Court as the first instance, apply.

(Warm and customer-friendly tone for private customers, simple and clear solution for corporate customers without complicated arbitration – better suited for a smaller player like AJKDesign.
